Donald Trump talking to the media about his controversial $400 million White House ballroom in front of a noisy construction site was always going to a silver platter of potential late night jokes — and in the monologue above, Jimmy Kimmel makes the most of it.
The host has more than a few ridiculous moments to chose between, from Trump saying it’s “a very complex building” and “the roof also goes down into the basement” to the president’s poster boards blowing away in the wind.
“Can you imagine the Iranians watching that this morning?” asks Kimmel. “Minutes before his deadline to bomb them he’s showing off plans for the new dance floor, where he’s going to cha-cha to ‘YMCA’. I mean if he wasn’t so dumb, it might be diabolical. But it isn’t. He’s dumb.”
