The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has officially granted MariBank Philippines Inc. a digital banking license, reclassifying the institution from a rural bank to a digital bank under central bank regulations.
The regulatory shift was formalized through BSP Circular Letter No. 35, Series of 2026, according to an official statement released by the bank.
Regulatory Reclassification and Deposit Security

The bank confirmed that client deposits remain insured by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) up to ₱1 million per depositor.
