Sahil Arora has released purported private conversations about celebrity memecoin publicity, alleging that influencers accepted payment for promotion and that arranging a filmed meeting with Caitlyn Jenner cost approximately $10,000.
Summary
- Alleged Bark messages discuss promoting JENNER, organizing Spaces, and securing celebrity-account engagement.
- Sahil claims a tweet from Mario Nawfal cost $10,000.
- A separate group chat discusses a preliminary call and payment involving Caitlyn Jenner’s team.
- The disclosures revisit promotional activity surrounding the 2024 celebrity memecoin boom.
Sahil published the material on Nov. 7, sharing conversations he attributed to crypto personalities and people involved in celebrity appearances. His posts addressed promotional tweets, access to celebrity accounts, and discussions about online audio events.
The allegations include messages associated with Bark, a recording showing an account labeled Mario Nawfal, and a group conversation about an appearance involving Jenner and content creator Jakey.
Bark messages discuss JENNER promotion and celebrity access
In screenshots attributed to Bark, messages dated May 27 and 28, 2024, discuss launch timing, promoting the Habibi community and bringing Iggy Azalea onto an X Space.
One message asks whether a launch is on track within the next hour or two. Others offer the use of a platform and Spaces to generate business and ask whether Azalea could participate.
A separate conversation centers on JENNER, the token associated with Caitlyn Jenner.
“been pushing $JENNER hard brother,” one message reads.
The sender asks for interactions from Jenner’s account, saying those interactions would help support further promotion. Another message requests a follow from her account and discusses keeping people in favorable Spaces instead of events where the token was being criticized.
Sahil placed the conversations beside a May 30, 2024, Bark post stating, “I work for no one,” followed by criticism of other participants in celebrity-token trading.
He alleged that influencers who presented themselves as independent had been paid. The displayed Bark conversations discuss promotional coordination but contain no explicit payment amount.
Mario Nawfal post alleges a $10,000 promotional tweet
In another post, Sahil claimed that $10,000 could purchase a tweet from Mario Nawfal. He credited the accompanying recording to a conversation involving one of his projects.
The displayed frame shows an account labeled Mario Nawfal, a transaction image, and outgoing messages asking for a tweet. A subsequent message says further matters could be discussed after the post appeared.
Sahil’s caption supplies the $10,000 figure. The visible exchange does not identify the promoted token, the requested tweet or the commercial terms governing the arrangement.
Nawfal describes himself on his website as an entrepreneur, investor and media host, with interests in blockchain, artificial intelligence and global politics.
Jenner appearance chat discusses a preliminary call and payment
The third set of screenshots concerns Jakey’s filmed meeting with Caitlyn Jenner, which he described publicly in June 2024 as a date.
Sahil alleged that arranging the meeting cost approximately $10,000 and claimed he had organized the connection. His post included a group conversation titled “launch with Caitlyn.”
Participants displayed as Jake Hillhouse and Sophia Hutchins discuss arranging a preliminary call. Hutchins refers to posting a video on Jenner’s Instagram account to address speculation that an account had been hacked.
Hillhouse asks about availability and says payment could be made immediately after the preliminary call. The exchange then proposes a morning call.
Sahil paired the conversation with Jakey’s June 13, 2024, post announcing the filmed meeting. The visible messages do not specify a token-promotion deliverable or state the payment amount.
Celebrity token disputes preceded the new disclosures
As crypto.news previously reported, Jason Derulo’s JASON token fell more than 72% within minutes of its June 23, 2024, announcement. Derulo blamed Sahil for misleading him and said he had bought $20,000 worth of tokens.
Azalea separately distanced herself from Sahil’s IGGY project while developing MOTHER. By June 2024, she was discussing using MOTHER for phones and mobile subscriptions through Unreal Mobile.
In the U.S., Federal Trade Commission guidance says influencers should disclose financial or other material relationships connected to endorsements. Its guidance covers payments and other benefits, including free products or services.
The agency recommends placing disclosures alongside the endorsement. For livestreams, it advises repeating disclosures periodically so people joining partway through can see or hear them.
